Over the weekend, Cardi B and Rich the Kid each performed at separate bar mitzvahs in New York City. Rich the Kid’s gig, a performance for Howard Lutnick’s son, Ryan Lutnick, was held at the Metropolitan Museum’s Temple of Dendur. Sources say that the rapper was paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000 to $300,000. For some reason, the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson was in attendance, too.
Cardi performed at a boy named Jake’s Bar Mitzvah, which was feted at Tao. For some reason, Jake’s last name was not provided. Moving along: Referencing her fee, a source said that the “Bodak Yellow” lyricist “wouldn’t get out of bed for less than half a million.” All of this is making me miss My Super Sweet Sixteen. Also that one episode of Sex and the City where Samantha Jones was employed by wealthy, hellish Bat Mitzvah brats. Cardi referenced the bash in her Instagram stories, saying that it was her first time attending one, and that Jake’s party, which shut down Tao on a Saturday night was “epic.” Mazel tov to all the various, very rich parties involved!
Queen Latifah’s Alleged Girlfriend is Expecting
Queen Latifah’s long-rumored girlfriend Eboni Nichols is expecting, and sporting what looks to be an engagement ring to boot. The pair have reportedly been dating since 2013. Nichols, a celebrity choreographer, has been photographed numerous times with the MC through the years, including on vacations and the occasional red carpet. Latifah has expressed an interest in starting a family recently, stating that she had to get 40 some years of partying out of her system first. This is the first child for both women.
