Brady Bunch Stars Reunite at Former TV Home Ahead of HGTV Renovation

Latest

I believe it is polite not to blog about that of which you know nothing and yet here I am, telling you about the house that a Brady Brunch built, the very one Lance Bass relinquished to HGTV because he did not wish for it hard enough.

HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation brought six original Brady Bunch cast members together on Thursday at their former TV home, as they joined Property Brothers’ Jonathan and Drew Scott, Good Bones’ Mina Starsiak and Karen Laine, Flea Market Flip’s Lara Spencer, Restored by the Ford’s Leanne and Steve Ford, and Hidden Potential’s Jasmine Roth to celebrate the series. People reports that the Brady stars in attendance were Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy). Sounds busy!

As the title of the show suggests, the series will depict the restoration of the house that represented the Brady family home from 1969 to 1974. Loren Ruch, senior vice president of HGTV programming and partnerships said a statement “What’s so exciting about this project is that we are creating one of the most iconic homes for many of our viewers’ childhood.” Is this somewhat circumscribed observation really “exciting”…or is that just a basic description of the show?

HGTV purchased the home in August for the price of $3.5 million and the few remaining tatters of Lance Bass’s childlike wonder.

A Very Brady Renovation premieres in September of 2019.
