Brad Pitt Calls Angelina Jolie's Request for Child Support an 'Effort to Manipulate Media Coverage'

This divorce is so extra messy!

In a legal brief obtained by Us Weekly and filed by Brad Pitt’s lawyer Lance Spiegel on Wednesday with the Los Angeles Superior Court, the actor criticized Angelina Jolie’s recent court filing accusing him of not paying “meaningful child support.”

In his filing, Spiegel, as the representative of Pitt, states that Jolie’s request is “unnecessary, omits material information and is a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage.”

The court papers go on to claim that Pitt has already loaned Jolie $8 million to “assist her in purchasing her current residence” as well as pay more than $1.3 million in bills “for the benefit” of Jolie and their kids.
