Best-Ever Holiday Window Displays Star Adoptable Puppies and Kittens

Latest

An extremely important piece of information has come to Jezebel’s attention: A Macy’s in San Francisco has opted for a rather unique holiday window display. Forget designer gowns or Christmas trees. Instead, the company’s Union Square location has partnered with the SF SPCA to fill them with adorable, adoptable puppies and kittens.

That’s right. It’s “How Much Is That Doggie In the Window,” before your very eyes.

According to San Francisco’s ABC 7, the program has been running for the last nine years. Last holiday season the event helped 300 dogs and cats find homes; more than 2,300 animals total have found homes through the program. Besides the displays, Macy’s also hosts an adoption pop-up inside the store, which parents of young children and people who already have several pets pass at their peril.

For those of you who aren’t in San Francisco but could use a little cuteness, the SPCA has set up not one, not two, but five different video streams for you to watch.

Let’s go ahead and start the petition to get a cameo from Choupette Lagerfeld in the Bergdorf windows next year.
