A recap: last month, a user on Reddit posted photos of Miss Korea contestants, alleging that "Korea's plastic surgery mayhem is finally converging on the same face" – South Korea has higher plastic surgery rates than any other country – because of the similiarities beween all the contestants. The judges apparently could tell the difference; they chose Ye-bin out of 20 finalists.

This condemnation of South Korea's pageant(s) seems a little xenophobic/bigoted to me. All pageants are focused on fitting into a very narrow standard of physical beauty. To say that these women or their culture are somehow worse than pageant culture in any country is pretty ridiculous.
