Tai Shan, a giant panda born in the United States, looks out from his cage in the Ya’an Bifeng Gorge Breeding Base of the Wolong Giant Panda Protection and Research Center, on March 9, 2010 in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The 4-year-old male giant panda, which was born in July 2005 and raised at the National Zoo of Washington D.C., concluded its one-month quarantine after arriving in February.
