As Jesus said in the Bible, “Lock and load, motherfuckers!” The chapter/verse escape me at the moment but I’m sure some devout Christian can find it in there somewhere.

Putting a picture above the article of a guy in a Roman collar (associated with Catholic priests and those Protestant ministers who don’t realize their clergy stopped wearing these in favor of full white collars - i.e. Reverend Lovejoy) kind of confuses the issue, since the church is fundamentalist Protestant.

I don’t agree with all of this man’s politics, but I greatly admire his willingness to step up and work for what he believes. Taking public office to effect change from within is an incredible step and I hope he’s able to make the world a better place.

It’s a good thing I don’t spend my time labeling other people with invented terms that reduce them to nice, easy, bite-sized chunks that don’t capture even 1/10th of the complexity of their positions. If I did, then I’d be intellectually dishonest, or Donald Trump! Read more
