As soon as you say suicide, you're a liability and they want you off their hands. I know of at least one similar case at Barnard, not involving a suicide attempt, but a revelation of some kind of suicidal ideation to a counselor. She was committed and forced to withdraw. Read more
Good on these girls for speaking up. I went to a support group my freshman year for rape/assault survivors and there were 4 of us in the group, none of us had reported. A few weeks into the group I found out one of the girls had been assaulted by my RA. Underreporting is a HUGE problem. Read more
