Quick serious note: I couldn't be happier for Tammy Baldwin. A good friend of mine (who doubles as the biggest political cynic I know, and is very much an Independent) met and talked with her while he was living in Wisconsin and she was a Rep, and he said she was a really great human being. And this is why anyone who adamantly proclaims her guilt is relying on emotions rather than facts.

Do I know for a fact that she's innocent? No, I don't. But you know what I do know for an absolute, 100%, beyond even the barest shade of a doubt fact? That the case is nothing but reasonable doubt. That everything in Read more

She didn't just randomly point the finger at Lumumba, though. The police hammered her with, "Lumumba did it, we KNOW he did it, we know you were involved, come on, admit that he did it *slap* it'll go badly for you if you don't admit that he did it" for hours before she finally snapped. Should she have? No. But Read more

I'll say that I disagree with the "unemployable" part, but I do agree with the rest. I'd argue that in the current American job market and with the general American perception of her innocence (since we haven't been reading British tabloids for the last four years), she'll be far more likely to find a job than most Read more

Seriously, stop. Read the damn facts of the case. They've caught the guy already. This isn't an OJ situation. Read more

Wow. You really haven't read the facts of this case, have you? They already HAVE caught the killer, and he's in prison for the next 16 or 17 years (a greatly reduced sentence because he "showed remorse," and if that isn't a fucked-up way to conduct prison sentencing, I don't know what is). They kept fixating on Read more

This is factually inaccurate. She was acquitted on a second trial - it wasn't thrown out as a mistrial. They're currently attempting to re-try the case (though the US won't extradite her, and thank God). But she WAS acquitted. Read more

Also the fact that there's no convincing evidence or anything close to a motive. That might have something to do with it. Read more

Well, they did, actually. He's in prison. For like 16 more years (which is less than they wanted to hit Amanda Knox with), but still. Read more

I disagree. I am ready to fight to the goddamn death here. Travesties of justice really set me off, especially if they involve slut-shaming and abuses of power. This isn't like feeding trolls; this shit is totally necesito. Read more

Yeah, but they got rid of my favorite character! (Asha Greyjoy)

I might watch just for Natalie Dorner, though. Good lord that woman is beautiful. Read more

...I suspect I might enjoy watching her sexually harass Chris Evans... Read more

I just keep seeing pictures of her and thinking, "holy crap, that woman is gorgeous." Thank you for letting me know. Read more

I've never watched Game of Thrones, and probably never will (I couldn't get through book 2 because it was just SO. FREAKING. BORING.), but I keep seeing pictures of this character/actress. Who is this? Read more

I've said it before, I'll say it again: good for her. Good for her for beating the absolute mockery of justice that was the investigation against her. Good for her for getting home, since it looks like there's no possible way the US will ever extradite her back to Italy. Good for her for dealing with all the shit Read more

My girlfriend got excited because the article title had "anti-biotics" in the name and she's all about Epidemiology, but then we read the article and she was all, "That don't make no sense." Read more
