Not 100% sure, but it's been commented that Seatosky is shattered_myths is HungerWolf and I've yet to see any refutation of it. Read more
I'm inclined to agree, although I don't think this woman belongs in a prison, but in an institution. Sane people don't commit crimes like that, and she sounds like she has SERIOUS issues. Read more
I really don't care about multiplayer (and in fact, generally hate playing video games with other human beings), so that might be it. I'm not really sure why you love 4's campaign so much...I mean, it was good, but kind of short. And 3's felt like it was 20 minutes long. I'd put Reach before anything, then probably… Read more
Yes, but Nintendo stopped making any game that didn't have Mario in it/wasn't some stupid freaking gimmick like the Wii Nunchuk or the 3DS. Read more
I've never understood the lionization of Halo 2; I mean, it wasn't bad, but I thought 4, Reach, and ODST were all better. Although in the case of ODST, I'm pretty sure I just keep giving it huge points because Master Chief wasn't involved. Read more
Halo has its own issues, though if they move away from freaking Master Chief as the main character going forward (please, dear God), that'll fix most of them. Halo 4 fixed the weapon imbalance issue, the controls have always been uncommonly tight for an FPS...but Jesus, that atrocious plot and characterization. Read more
Rich, vibrant colors fell out of style until very recently, though. It's only been in the past year that we've really started to see visual richness in games like this. Read more

This game looks visually fascinating and potentially very, very cool. Can I just say how much I love that there are segments of the games industry taking a hard turn away from a brown-grey color palette? Because it's about damn time. Read more

Hillary's electability isn't really due to her honesty, but due to the fact that some people, for reasons that still aren't 100% clear to me, are really, REALLY anti-Hillary in particular in a way they aren't anti-Warren or anti-Gillibrand. Read more
This isn't helping. Why do people seem to like Hillary more than Elizabeth Warren? It's a serious question, because I like Warren WAAAAAAAAAAAY more than Hillary (she's actually my favorite American politician, as well as one of the very few I genuinely admire since Paul Wellstone died). Read more
I don't really understand the Hillary craze I've been seeing all over the place recently. I don't dislike Hillary, but I think both Gillibrand and (especially) Elizabeth Warren are eminently more electable - not to mention I'd trust both of them more to actually pursue a progressive agenda rather than simply what was… Read more
Then maybe it was just better-explained than everyone else's argument, which wound up being, "Shut up language evolves."
Ok, maybe not yours, but everyone but you, pretty much. Read more
That's because he'd been an all-star and people kept hoping he'd recapture enough of that magic to be effective (this is also known as the Juwan Howard principle). Collins was a career back-up at best. I hope he catches on somewhere (I actually hope it's with my Wizards), but I don't know if it'll happen. Read more
A big part of it, though, is that it's a player who's actually playing. It's entirely possible Jason Collins won't have a job next year, and not because he's gay - because he's a 34-year-old third-string center on the tail end of his career whose primary value to a team at this point is as a mentor/team leader/good… Read more
I'm really glad he came out. He seems like a wonderful human being, and I'm happy for him. I do, however, think the perception of gay athletes is only really going to change once a star player (or at least a starter, or hell, at least someone who plays more than 5 minutes a night) does so.
Also, I think three things… Read more
