Yep. He needs help. But he won't get it because he doesn't seem to understand that HE has a problem (which is typical for addictions). However, if producers/directors have the guts to deny him roles plus he get's his ass kicked around enough - gets fines, arrests, loses crazy money- maybe THEN he'll seek help.
