Ask a Mortician (& a Drag Queen): What Song Will Play at Your Funeral?

Latest

Here’s our favorite mortician, Caitlin Doughty, hanging out with the simply sickening Laganja Estranja and talking death, Bette Midler, hooker makeup and what music they’d like to have played at their funerals.

I went through a very morbid stage when I was in high school and wrote my wishes for after death; the funeral song I chose was the music that plays at the end of Saturday Night Live — you know, the piano and the clap clap… piano, clap clap. Runners-up: “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” and “Please Don’t Talk About Me When I’m Gone.”

You can follow Caitlin on Twitter and check out Order Of The Good Death on Facebook.
