​Amy Sedaris Will Play a Publicist in PopSugar's First Web Series

PopSugar is making a web TV show. The site’s inaugural online scripted series, Seriously Distracted, will star the wonderfully strange Amy Sedaris as a pop culture-obsessed publicist.

The series, which was initially announced in May, will be worth watching now that Sedaris is on board. The Hollywood Reporter writes:

The eight-episode series stars Amy Sedaris as JD LeGrand, the head of New York publicity firm LeGrand PR. Although the firm is one celebrity client away from making it big, LeGrand’s employees are constantly distracted by their pop culture obsessions, which range from Tinder and Scandal to James Franco and SoulCycle.

“We’re always keeping our eyes out for things that we feel our audience will love “And Seriously Distracted felt right for our brand,” says PopSugar Studios president David Grant.

The weekly show premieres Oct. 21 on both PopSugar and YouTube.
