Alice Munro Is Too Sick to Accept Her Nobel Prize in Person

“Master of the contemporary short story” and now Nobel laureate Alice Munro will not be traveling to Stockholm to collect her literature prize due to unspecified poor health. It has yet to be announced who will collect the 82 year-old author’s prize on her behalf, but we’re hoping Munro is on her feet sooner rather than later.
