ABC must be feeling quite happy with turning Thursday nights into Shondaland. Last night was the premiere of three back-to-back Shonda Rhimes-created dramas and every one delivered monster ratings.

The season premiere of How To Get Away With Murder brought in an incredible 14 million viewers beating out its lead-in, Scandal, which was far from shabby with 11.9 million. Season 11 of Grey's Anatomy debuted with 9.8 million viewers, which is considered quite impressive for an 8 pm program that has been on the air for over a decade.

Thursday night's overall winner, however, was of course NFL football with the New York Giants playing a team from Washington DC that is named after a racial slur.

I don't even watch any of these shows and I'm inexplicably happy for Rhimes and co.
