Aaron Sorkin Is Writing a Biopic About Lucille Ball Starring Cate Blanchett

Natural redhead Cate Blanchett will be playing natural redhead Lucille Ball in an upcoming film to be written by natural blond Aaron Sorkin. The Wrap reports the film will be an “authorized” biopic, to be produced by Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucy Arnaz Jr.

Of its plot, they write:

The film will chronicle Ball’s 20-year marriage to Desi Arnaz, with whom she starred on the classic TV sitcom “I Love Lucy.” Ball had two children with Arnaz before they divorced in 1960. She married Gary Morton the following year.

Sorkin can write great dialogue even while high on crack, so we can expect some incredible conversations between Lucille and Desi during the most tumultuous moments of their marriage. I’m thinking something like this?
