Four hours! ABC’s Academy Award red carpet and show broadcast dragged at times, but there were some notable bits. Eight highlights — whether you missed them or just want to relive them — in a gallery, below.

Mo’Nique thanks Hattie McDaniel in her speech, and her production company is making a film about McDaniel.

You knew Kathyrn Bigelow would win Best Director when they brought Barbra “Yentl” Streisand out! The announcement of Bigelow’s win was accompanied by a standing ovation, and the director was incredibly poised as she accepted. She called it “the moment of a lifetime,” and it was also truly historic. The first Best Director Oscar for a woman.
