Here's one from the vault. The Hollywood Reporter has recently unearthed a selection of interviews from Canada's Canada AM, a show known for giving young performing upstarts their big breaks. Among the segments are Drake (but he'll always be Wheelchair Jimmy to me) and none other than the baby goose himself Ryan Gosling. Gosling appeared on the program when he was 12-years-old and had just been cast on the Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.
How does 'ittle wittle Wyan Goswing compare to the mighty mighty good man that he is today? Well, he sounded a bit more Canadian and a little less whatever his accent is now, but he was still just as enigmatic. When asked what viewers should expect from his first season on MMC, the youngin' smirkingly said, "There has to be some surprise, so why don't you watch the show?" DAMMIT, GOSLING! MUST YOU ALWAYS BE SO INFURIATINGLY INSCRUTABLE? (JK, I take it back. Let me be your mom/marry meeeeeeeeeeeee.)
