Honey Boo Boo Endorses Barack Obama

Alana Thompson, alongside Mama, appeared on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, where the conversation turned to politics, naturally. Actually, it was incredibly forced, with Kimmel trying really hard to get Alana to even look at him, as she was completely distracted with everything else. Eventually, though, he managed to get her to understand that Mitt Romney recently dissed her on Live! With Michael and Kelly and she had the good sense to say that she supports Obama.

In other Boo Boo news, “Uncle Poodle,” Alana’s 29-year-old gay uncle Lee Thompson—who appeared on an episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo—is speaking out in support of “queer rednecks.” In a recent interview he said:

I’m gay, but I’m as redneck as I can get, and we want to be somewhere we can fish and jump on a four-wheeler, go hog wallowing…I know this is how I was born and I don’t need to explain it to anybody. I live my life for who I am. That’s why ‘Born This Way’ is gonna be my next tattoo.
