Breaking: Tan Mom Has Stopped Tanning

When we last saw Tan Mom, she was telling us that if we didn’t like her, it’s because we are jealous, fat and ugly. Now, Tan Mom — aka Patricia Krentcil — is in the latest issue of In Touch, with an announcement: She has accepted the mag’s challenge to stay out of UV rays — real and artificial — for an entire month. Some notes:

• She still uses Jergens self-tanner.
• She was tanning four or five times a week.
• She wouldn’t say that she’s addicted, but she’s had moments where she’s felt she needs to be tan.
• Now that she is not tanning, she says: “I feel weird and pale.” We’ll agree with half of that.
