After weeks of behind-the-scenes negotiating, it appears that Ann Curry will finally announce that she's leaving the Today Show on tomorrow morning's broadcast. She was already scheduled to have Friday off; so it's not known whether tomorrow will be her final show or whether she'll be on-air next week and be forced to watch a week's worth of misty montages. If all goes according to the current plan she will say she's leaving but make no mention of her likely replacement, Savannah Guthrie. NBC will officially announce Guthrie's new post sometime in early July. This appears to be somewhat of a fluid situation which NBC is trying desperately not to botch a la the Great Conan/Jay Meltdown of 2010, but one thing is for sure: it's going to be very interesting to see the looks on Matt Lauer's face as all of this goes down.
