Austrian filmmaker Michael Glowagger's documentary follows sex workers and johns in Thailand, Bangladesh, and Mexico, offering a "nonjudgmental" look at what amounts to, in many of these instances, human trafficking. Whether that yearning for objectivity — Whore's Glory has no narrator and offers no commentary — is something you're looking for in a documentary about sex-trafficking is up to you, but Glowagger's film, which had a limited released a little over a month ago, has received some tempered praise as an effective, if joyless, descent into a sexual underworld that remains largely mysterious to outsiders. The trailer, at any rate, is haunting enough to merit a look.
