Dana Zemack has been making stick figure comics since she was 12. This week, she made one just for us.
Exciting things happening up in the sky this week. The Kepler telescope, which scouts the sky for new planets, just found a brand new one, and it's looking a lot like a mirror of earth. If it has an atmosphere, the planet, named Kepler 22b, would have a temperature of about 72 degrees, which is just balmy enough to support life. Life! Amazingly, Kepler 22b also orbits its own star that just happens to look just like our very own sun. And at 600 light years away, it would take us just a hop, skip and 22 million years to get there.
So we might have a twin planet? You can see a rendering of potentially lovely Kepler 22b here. We probably each have alien twins out there, too. Squint hard and you might see mine waving at you.
