Lawyer In Rape Case Compares Vaginas To Venus Flytraps

The case against two New York police officers accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her apartment is disturbing enough without lawyers interjecting lewd comments. During a graphic discussion about the woman’s injuries after officer Kenneth Moreno allegedly raped her while Franklin Mata stood watch, defense attorney Chad Seigel said of female genitalia, “It’s not like a Venus Flytrap and snaps?” The judge retorted, “That is a terrible example.”
