Chinese Social Media Saves Hundreds of Doomed Dogs

A Chinese animal rights activist used Weibao, the Chinese version of Twitter, to raise money to purchase hundreds of dogs bound for slaughter last week. The dogs are currently being cared for in a facility owned by the China Small Animal Protection Association, awaiting the day when they’re owned by a family and are made to wear those hilarious hot dog costumes rather than being made into actual hot dogs.
