Postpartum Depression Risk May Be Higher In Winter

In a Swedish study of 2,000 women, new mothers who gave birth in October through December were twice as likely to have symptoms of postpartum depression as those who had children in April through June. Researchers can’t explain the link, but suggest that seasonal hormone differences or lack of sunlight could be to blame.
