First Bald Beauty Queen Crowned In North Carolina

Latest

Over the weekend Sandra Dubose-Gibson won the 2011 Mrs. Black North Carolina pageant, becoming the state’s first bald beauty queen. Dubose-Gibson says she was depressed when she started losing her hair due to alopecia at age 25, but eventually she realized hair wasn’t what made her attractive. She plans to travel the state talking to women about beauty. “I am here to help them see the beautiful human beings they truly are and boldly celebrate that beauty and strength from the inside out,” she said.
