Tina Fey Subjected To InStyle Photoshop Makeover

Latest

We’re always excited to see Tina Fey on the cover of a magazine, but more often than not her face is mangled via Photoshop to the point that she doesn’t look like herself. InStyle‘s April 2011 cover is one of the most egregious examples.

It seems the inspiration for the cover was “desperately clinging to a pole to keep the wind machine from knocking you over.” But that still doesn’t explain why there’s a chunk of her torso missing. Her face also looks off, and when compared to a paparazzi shot it appears that her scar and the natural lines on her face were vigorously scrubbed off. Tina Fey is a lovely woman and the scar doesn’t detract from that. In fact, that’s part of what makes her recognizable as Tina Fey, not an overly-smooth illustration of a human woman. No celebrity deserves a Photoshop mangling, but it’s particularly sad when it happens to a lady as talented and funny as Tina.
