SAG Fashion: The Good Was Very Good

BeautyStyle

After several underwhelming red carpets, the SAGs were an exciting change. Think color, innovation, and serious style. Well, for the most part.

First, let’s talk trends. Like flame-hued frocks. To wit: Julianna Margulies.

And Valerie Bertinelli!

A busy — but glam — take from Tina Fey.

The precociously chic Sarah Hyland.

Katrina Bowden, rocking old Hollywood.

And a vaguely Gothic take from Mila Kunis.

Bridal white — albeit with a sexy, vintagey twist — was also popular. Check out Mindy Kaling, who’s been killing it lately.

Amy Adams in Hervé Leroux.

Lea Michele, refining her typical red-carpet silhouette to stunning effect in Oscar de la Renta.

Winona Ryder channels her Tim Burton days, but the Alberta Ferretti is lovely.

Love the juxtaposition of virginal white and maternity in Natalie’s Azzaro!

Speaking of glam maternity! Jane Krakowski!

The “blush” tidal wave was in full force. Jenna Ushkowitz, in maximum glam.

Hillary Swank, vintagey and pretty.

Heather Morris.

And my favorite blushing turn, Jayma Mays’ Jenny Packham.

Rosario Dawson also rocks a sweet pastel J. Mendel.

Christina Hendricks totally changes up her silhouette — and while the resulting silhouette is slightly bombshell robe-and-mules…it’s still terribly glam.

Amber Riley’s Anne Barge: flat-out glamorous.

Whatever you think of January Jones’ style, you have to admire her adaptability. Personally, I love this Caroline Herrera.

Speaking of versatility! Claire Danes goes from minimalism to pure pretty in Louis Vuitton!
