Sarah Palin Is Just Glad We Can't Blame Her For Egypt

It’s no surprise that Sarah Palin is a fan of February’s media boycott of her activities (she’s never been a fan of the media in the first place). What’s surprising is why.

According to the Daily Beast, Palin told a gathering of big-game hunters that the planned boycott “sounds good.” The reason: “because there’s a lot of chaos in Cairo, and I can’t wait to not get blamed for it — at least for a month.” See what she did there? Asking Palin to rethink her gun imagery in the wake of horrifying gun violence is just as ridiculous as saying she caused the unrest in Egypt. Those silly journalists, what will they think of next?

According to Palin, media types also don’t know how to properly investigate a sex scandal — like, say, the claim that Todd Palin had an affair with massage therapist/prostitute Shailey Tripp. Here’s how: “Heck. All they needed to
do was to ask him, ‘hey, Todd, have you been hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?” Because when you think someone did something illegal, and you ask them about it, they always tell the truth (we should note that Anchorage police say Tripp’s legal troubles have nothing to do with Todd Palin).

One important media figure shows no signs of slackening his Palin rhetoric in the run-up to No-Palin February. Tracy Morgan has already drawn criticism for calling Palin “good masturbation material” — now he’s continuing his trenchant political commentary by calling her “the hottest MILF in the world” on the SAG red carpet, and reiterating, “She’s a MILF!” See, journalists, this is what will happen if you don’t talk about Palin. Tracy Morgan will do it for you, and it will be dumb and crude. So basically, it’s our patriotic duty to keep criticizing Palin this month, and to do it right.
