Reality show producers love to manipulate us! The Fashion Show‘s breakout star — cantankerous, belligerent, rude Calvin Tran — has been portrayed as a heartless jerk. Last night, he revealed that he does indeed have a heart, and it’s breaking.

In the episode, Calvin said that if he won the contest, he would give his prize money ($125,000) to the Gay Men’s Health Crisis, because his partner of ten years is dying, and the GMHC has been of help.
