Whether you like it or not, we're going to see a lot of Britney Spears over the next few weeks. With her album Circus dropping on December 2, Ms. Spears has hit the promotional comeback trail in an attempt to ensure that her latest pop endeavor will be a success. Attempting to rescue her reputation as a performer after last year's dreadful VMA performance, Brit appeared on the French television show Star Academy to perform her single, "Womanizer." Surrounded by dancers who appear to be reveling in Britney's Circus theme, Spears carefully makes her way through the performance, leaving the heavy dancing to the extras and getting through her choreographed poses without much trouble. She appears to be playing it extremely safe: this isn't the snake-dancin' Britney Spears of old, yet it's a vast improvement over her "Gimme More" VMA trainwreck. So is she off to a good start or still not ready for the stage? Judge for yourself, after the jump.
