Any event that has both "Princess Grace" and "Gala" in the title is the kind of rich-people shindig I can get behind, especially when it's at Cipriani and the clothes are seriously good. Apparently the awards support emerging artists. Anyway, obvs HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco was there, plus Rose Byrne, Mariska Hargitay, and a host of assorted stars and socialites. And seriously, the duds were like 80% Good, kids — just like Grace would have wanted it, after the jump!

The Good:

I'm kind of a sucker for "Ascot Gavotte" numbers like Bebe Neuwirth's.

Black and white prints can risk dowdiness, but how good does Mariska Hargitay look?!

I adore Rose Byrne. But why does she look so sad? Could it be the gala's not actually that fun?

Mixed feelings about Petra Nemcova's 80s goddess gown, but overall she looks lovely.

Need it be said again: Celeste Holm was in All About Eve!

I wish we had a full frontal of Dee Ocleppo in what looks to be a really pretty frock.

The Bad:

Some would argue that Carolyn Gusoff's bodice could flatter her figure more.

I gotta say I kind of like Princess Yasmine Pahlavi wearing a little girl's idea of a princess costume!
