Here are graphic photos of Kourtney Kardashian birthing her new child Penelope Scotland Disick, which are screenshots of the televised delivery from the season finale of Keeping Up With The Kardashians yesterday. And all of the Kardashians were there (even brother Rob), and you were there, and you were there, and Kanye West was there. Click at your own risk, or if you're a doula's apprentice, or if you just want to learn things (Khloe: "Kourtney just loves to pull out her own children"). And so she does! See above.

The joyride is officially over: Amanda Bynes was once again pulled over in Los Angeles on Sunday, but this time, the cops impounded her black BMW when they ran her license and found that it was suspended (although, really, all they had to do was recognize Amanda Bynes). She got a misdemeanor ticket. Thus concludes the Bynes-starring version of Drive, featuring Baja Fresh in Albert Brooks' role. [TMZ]

Let me start by saying I'm wholly in support of her sharing the childbirth on TV if she's comfy with it, and I applaud her!

Let me end by saying that it's pretty unusual for a human baby to come out face up like that (something like 4-8% of babies are, if I remember my bio anth class correctly) and the idea that a mother can "catch" her own baby (and that she would "love" to) is pretty crazy.

Due to the shape of the birth canal, babies generally rotate as they exit the womb and the vast majority and come out face down - it places way more stress on the mother's body and spine when the baby comes out face up, so this would have actually been a pretty difficult birth (and definitely WAY difficult on her spine to reach down there and grab). Interestingly enough, the fact that the baby typically comes out face down means that the mother needs help during the birth to catch the baby - she can't do it on her own because of the angle, and thus assisted childbirth is one of the very, very few universal facts across cultures.
