Refreshingly down-to-earth (in interviews), she is also directly involved in a fair-trade organization that runs work centres for Indian women employed as hand embroiderers for clothing destined for the global marketplace (working conditions guarantee fairness, security and non-exploitation for otherwise poverty-stricken housewives). Because of her humanitarian side, Erin O'Connor is one model whose career I follow with great interest.
