Comment of the Day: An Invitation We Cannot Refuse

Illustration for article titled Comment of the Day: An Invitation We Cannot Refuse

Earlier, we got an invitation to an interesting event at Notre Dame Law School: "Professor Charlie Rice will present the Catholic Church's teaching on contraception and discuss the intrinsic links between contraception, abortion, and same-sex marriage. Pizza will be provided." Sounds like fun, right? Well, not as fun as the events Antonym has invited us to:

"Professor Drusilla Urquhart will present a study of Fecal Naturalism, examining arguments in favour of shitting on your household pet as an expression of your love. Tapas spread will be provided."

"Ken Adams looks at the history of llama grooming - from the classical structuralists of Inca Peru to the surrealist "Drama Llama" movement of 19th century Paris. A sandwich bar will accompany."

"Regina Phalange asks the question; Were the Nazis really so mean? Arrive early for sushi!"

Submit nominations to the Comment of the Day tag page. Click on the comment's time stamp, and post the comment's URL to the forum along with the tag #cotd. (Replying to a comment with "#cotd" does not work.)

Use #trollpatrol to report comments that you feel the editors/mods should be aware of. Try not to respond to/approve/promote trollish comments in the threads — instead, just post the comment on the #trollpatrol page, the same way you'd post a comment on #groupthink or on the #cotd page, and the editors/mods will take care of it.
