Born on this day: Hollywood legends Lana Turner and James Dean. James Dean's cool, but Turner! She was "discovered" at Schwab's drug store in L.A. and starred in films like The Postman Always Rings Twice and Imitation of Life (she later had a role on soapy '80s drama Falcon Crest). The 5'3" star was married eight times, and her boyfriend Johnny Stampanato was stabbed to death by her daughter from an earlier relationship. Turner died in 1995 at the age of 74. Of her many loves, Turner said: "I liked the boys, and the boys liked me." Know who we like? Our sponsors. Big kisses to Kidrobot, Rent the Musical and Uwishunu.com.
