Oprah's spin doctors are working overtime this week. In a press conference today, the talk show hostess and media magnate spoke out about allegations of abuse at the school for girls she founded in South Africa. Oprah called the incident, "One of the most devastating, if not the most devastating experience of my life." She said that after she heard the tale of possible abuse โ€” which involved a school matron perpetrating indecent assault and criminal injury against girls ages 13 to 15 โ€” Oprah "spent about a half-hour going around my house crying." (Did she time herself?) The alleged abuser, Tiny Virginia Makopo, is currently under arrest. [CBS News]
