Rosie O'Donnell's memoir about her time on The View, Celebrity Detox, came out yesterday! In honor, I headed up to a midtown Manhattan Barnes & Noble to pick out a personally-inscribed copy (on a side-note, 100% of the profits from the book go to O'Donnell's nonprofit, Rosie's Broadway Kids, which brings musical theatre education to the poorest public schools in New York.) While I waited in line — which literally stretched around the block — I decided to poll my fellow fans about their feelings about O'Donnell's evil nemesis Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Their responses, after the jump.

"Elizabeth Hasselbeck? She seems retarded." —Ryan

"I can't stand her. She has been brainwashed by her family. She's like a lot of Americans right now who also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny - she just has no idea what's true and what's make believe. I don't think she has a bad heart, I just think she is deeply, deeply misguided. She needs a better education; she just accepts things hook, line and sinker." —Laurie

"I agree with everything she said - she's my wife and I always agree with her!" —Jeannie, standing next to Laurie

"Ugh, I don't like Elisabeth. She's a Republican, that's why!" —Anthony, teenage boy

"Uh, we're sort of a house divided. My son and I don't exactly hold the same opinions on these things," —Anthony's dad, middle-aged

"I find Elisabeth to be annoying because she thinks she knows everything but she doesn't. At all. She's way too conservative for my taste." —Liz

"OMG! I love Elisabeth. She is so cute. She has strong political beliefs and she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in." —Lindsay (teenage girl in Goth garb)

"Oh, I don't like her. She just says the same things over and over again and never let's anyone else speak on The View. I mean, I guess she seems like she might be fun to hang out with, but not to, uh, ever talk to." —Sophie (and her 16-month old daughter Violet)

""I can't stand her! She's fed information by the Republican Party and Fox News and she's paid to air her opinion on The View" —Rory

"I have to be nice because I've met Elisabeth before; I'm a friend of Rosie's. She's a sweet young girl. Young being the operative word." —Joe

"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. But in an arena like The View when you have the opportunity to communicate with so many people every day, well, you need to filter a little. You need to think about what you're saying. Elisabeth just needs a little more life experience to teach her how to filter and, you know, speak." —Alison

"There's a way to express your opinion without offending people. Elisabeth just hasn't learned that yet. But I guess we all have to be nice to her because she's pregnant now. And whatever, no matter what she says now she can just blame it on crazy hormones." —Sheila
