We think it's great that designers are doing lines for lower-priced retailer Target. But the designs by Alice Temperley for the retailer's GO line are a little too precious for our taste. The plain black minidress is nice enough, but we know we could get the same thing at H&M. And we'll take the big sweater (just 'cause we've never met a big sweater we didn't like) but everything else? Those Miss Haversham-like ruffles and "Victorian" blouses and cropped, tapered pants? They all sorta make us sad. (And yes, you are seeing correctly: Those are overalls and a puffy shirt featured at left.) More images after the jump.
