An unnamed woman has filed a police report alleging that Sylvester Stallone raped her as a teen in the 1990s. Stallone is now threatening to prosecute her for allegedly filing a false report.

According to TMZ, Stallone’s attorney Marty Singer claims the woman contacted another media outlet with her story, but that outlet was unable to corroborate it. She filed a police report in November, but the unnamed outlet supposedly again refused to report on it.

The woman says that Stallone sexually assaulted her in his office 27 years ago during what was supposed to be a meeting. Though the statute of limitations is 10 years, any evidence will still be presented to the D.A.’s office if there is a chance that the case can be pursued. Law enforcement officials in Santa Monica told TMZ that they are investigating the woman’s claims.

Stallone denies an assault took place, though he does admit to having spent time with the woman:

Stallone denies the allegation. He admits he had spent 3 days with her during a 1987 movie shoot in Israel. He was single, she was not a minor and he says there was never a rape. He also denies he saw her at all in 1990.

This is the second accusation brought against Stallone in recent months. The Guardian reported in November that a woman alleged she was forced to perform oral sex on Stallone and his bodyguard, Michael De Luca, in 1986, when she was just 16 years old. The original police report on the alleged assault was filed that year in Las Vegas, where the legal age of consent is 16.

At the time, the girl told police she had consented, though it is noted in the report that she was visibly upset. Now she says De Luca threatened to “beat her head in” if she ever told anyone what had happened that night. She decided to come forward with her story due to the current deluge of women coming forward about sexual assault.

“He should be ashamed of himself, what he did to me affected my life and destroyed me,” she told the Baltimore Post-Examiner.

In a statement to The New York Daily News, a spokesperson for Stallone denied that any assault took place:

“No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone,” said Michelle Bega. “At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter.”

First Dustin Hoffman, and now Stallone. I think there will be at least half a dozen more iconic actors of the 70s and 80s who we’ll read about next. I would say Nicholson - his house was the crime scene for the Polanski rape, and he was kind of at the epicenter of that social scene - but he’s supposedly very ill and that might be a factor.

Hollywood is still terrible to women, but people were more enabling of terrible male behavior then than they have been in recent years. One of the things that I can remember is that Johnny Depp had the same substance abuse problems and the same ugly temper that shocked everyone last year. People knew about it then, too. It’s just that throwing TV sets was considered cool and mysterious up through the 90s. It was in the 2000s that people started getting fed up with it and it became more of a liability.
