Jon Stewart Is Coming Back to You

Jon Stewart saw us crying and screaming about how much we miss him right now, so he’s returning with two comedy specials to shut us up.

As part of his HBO production deal, Stewart will make his standup comeback on stage, with his first show in 21 years, and he’ll probably talk at length about our Cyst-in-Chief and the administration that’s made many of us turn to daily affirmations. While it isn’t The Daily Show, this is a nice consolation.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

The news was announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday afternoon. The programs mark the first stand-up specials for Stewart since his first one, 1996's Jon Stewart: Unleavened, which also aired on HBO. The dates and locations of the new specials have yet to be confirmed.

Then in November, he’ll host the Night of Too Many Stars special, which features a mixture of standup and skits. In a statement, Stewart joked that he can “finally use up the last of the Saddam Hussein jokes left over from my first special.” Yes, it has been a long time. Send this to your mom to make her happy.
