  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz grapefruit juice
  • 1 oz cinnamon syrup

  • 4 cracked cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

In a small saucepan bring all ingredients to a boil. Lower heat to a simmer for 10 minutes. Strain, contain, let cool & refrigerate.

Pour all liquid ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake with regularity for 10-12 seconds. Strain into a lowball over ice. Forget the garnish and take comfort in the fact that wherever there’s a thinkpiece, listicle, or smarmy e-mail, there might also be a funny life-affirming gif.
