Laura Dekker, the 14-year-old sailor from the Netherlands who famously lost her battle to sail around the world alone earlier this year, has now gone missing, and authorities say they do not believe it was a crime.

Dekker, who has been missing since Friday, is believed to have left on her own, though she apparently did not leave by sea, as her boat, Guppy is still docked in its usual location. Dekker is currently under state supervision, which went into effect after her request to sail around the world was denied by Dutch authorities, though she is still apparently allowed to live with her father, whose house she reportedly left late last week. Authorities are currently checking the airports for a sign of Dekker, as, according to the Times of London Dekker has New Zealand citizenship and "said earlier this year that she might try to go there if Dutch authorities refused to let her sail."
