Zooey Deschanel Is Pregnant With a Manic Pixie Dream Baby

Zooey Deschanel stares out the window, eyes wide in wonder, as rain patters rhythmically against the glass. “Hey Siri,” she says out loud to no one (she’s been doing that a lot lately). “Am I pregnant?”

And indeed she is, for Zooey intuits these kind of things, plus she got a positive on that pregnancy test. She will be having a baby—the first Zoo-born of its kind—with boyfriend Jacob Pechenik this summer.

“Jacob and I are over the moon,” Deschanel told People in a statement delivered via a woodland fawn. “We are so excited to meet our little one.”

Congratulations to Zooey and Jacob! And to ModCloth on their future line of baby clothes.
