Your Evening Sob: Woman Unknowingly Live Tweets Her Husband's Death

Latest

If you’re not prepared to be heartbroken, don’t read the following. In the exact opposite of a holiday miracle, a woman unknowingly live-tweeted the death of her husband.

Caran Johnson of Salmon Creek, WA, is well-known for tweeting out traffic updates in her area. Earlier today she sent out messages alerting commuters to a tragic accident on a nearby highway. As the details kept coming, Johnson started worrying about her husband who was traveling on the same highway. Her messages grew increasingly despondent until she posted her final tweet: “it’s him. he died.”

I can’t imagine what this must be like. The death of a loved one is always tragic, but the trauma of unwittingly tweeting the details of that same loved one’s death must be devastating. Heartbreaking.
