I am always confused by the Missdemeanors thing. Jezebel says some snarky comments about other women but everyone else-who are clearly being sarcastic- is a misogynist? Some jokes about women, not made by women, can be funny.

You know, in re: obesity killing people, obesity by itself is not the killer; heart disease and other obesity-adjunct things are. But lots of people have BMIs that make them overweight and obese while having perfectly fine heart health, so "fat" isn't the only indicator. (And plenty of people who look like they are in the normal weight range don't have great heart health.) Also, there are always these scary statistics - heart disease is the number one killer in America! But that's kind of misleading, because we all die. Something has to be the thing that kills us the most. And it's heart disease right now, which is sort of great, because heart disease is the thing that will inevitably and always happen to you if nothing else does. It's a luxury that nothing will kill most of us before heart disease does!

I have had a rough week because I feel like misogyny is at this fever pitch right now and I'm just considered this second-class human along with my sisters, even the ones who help perpetuate this ish. I don't know if the solution is to take a break from the Internet or what.
