There are these preposterous luxury apts being built out of a huge old building that is seriously a half a block long - and they are turning that HUGE building into THREE apartments. Starting: $6 mil. There's not much else around there besides chair and kitchen equipment stores, but you never know in NYC. A heinous broke-down storefront can hide a scrumptrulescent luxe loft. Which I will never afford. Yay Manhattan!

These pictures and the "celebrity cellulite" things intrigue/depress me. They're in an industry where they are expected to look airbrushed--doesn't mean all (flawless-looking) celebrities push that notion...meaning they don't deserve to have their average unadorned faces used as fodder.

Note: I look AT LEAST a little worse than half the faces on those covers. They look the way I would expect an unmade-up celeb's face to look, esp. if that celeb had been awake for 18 hours, or was on their way to get their make-up done at 4 AM, or had spent the night drinking, etc. etc.

Same thing with the bodies...

If these people are crucified for being human, what about the rest of us? Or is that the point--to bring them down a peg?

Still makes me feel dirty in my soul (after I finish mentally critiquing each bare face and ass in line at the grocery store, of course...)
