Why else would we have so many models cross over into "acting" (such as they have)? They fit an ideal that seems to make the industry and moviegoers happy.

I think she is simply (and finally) happy to have a reason to gain weight. She wasn't exactly zaftig in her earlier career, but hats off to her for expressing that. There are plenty of mag stories (e.g. New York Mag.) that feature pregnant women who proudly crow about staying in their size 2 jeans through to term. How fucked up is that?
