So maybe Brit had been on other drugs before that didn't work, or, she was so fucking freaked out that they went right to the high-reward, high-risk stuff.

But it's so hard to get an appointment! Also, tardive dyskinesia is possible if you're on a high dosage too long. I wasn't on a high dosage, but I'm still really glad to be off that shit.

I'm in the mood for something trashy. May have to pick up OK and/or Life and Style.

I never watched TV - I didn't have one until I moved in with my current roommates. I never drank soda and to this day I have never had a fruit roll-up or any of that processed/packaged foodstuff that the kids are always eating. We never had chocolate in the house (only carab), and I'm pretty sure that I turned out alright.

I think the scientology may be a bit of a concern, but their nutritional choices seem to be spot on.

This is coming from the mother of a toddler who had been raised with homemade baby food, Kashi oatmeal/waffles, multigrain pasta, etc. etc. We still eat it, but it's unrealistic to completely forbid the occasional treat from a child's diet. Everything in moderation, or the things you forbid will become obsessions and you end up with a kid like me who snuck out after school to procure contraband candy.

And the whole "no" thing? Depends on the context. Kids need boundaries, but not necessarily an overabundance of the word "no." I read some goofy article about using the phrase, "let's do...." instead of "no." So, the kid learns boundaries but they don't feel oppressed.

Whatever, I still don't know what the hell I'm doing. As long as he doesn't turn into an axe murderer, I guess I'm doing ok.
